About Book
Here is the synopsis of this book.
This story is based on many true events.
On Suzie and Sir Westieti's street stood an old crumbling house. Every night at least eight bats circled its chimney, and the kids were certain a witch lived inside. They never saw her, only a shadow flickering in the windows, and no one dared to walk past her gate. Curiosity has a way of beating fear. Was she really a witch, or just a mystery waiting to be solved? One thing for sure Suzie and Sir Westieti are about to find out..
About westieti series

"My seven-year-old was convinced she'd have nightmares after seeing the cover — bats, a crumbling house, a shadowy figure in the window. But by the last page, she was the one telling ME not to judge people before getting to know them. That's the magic of this book. It takes a child's very real fear of the unknown and gently transforms it into curiosity and empathy. Suzie and Westieti are the perfect duo to lead young readers on that journey."
Rachel M., mother of two, Ontario
— Parent | Sir Westieti & The Good Witch"I thought the witch was going to be scary but she wasn't! Westieti was so brave to go find out the truth. I want to be brave like him and Suzie. I read it two times already."
Liam T., age 8, British Columbia
— Child, Age 8 | Sir Westieti & The Good Witch"This book is a gift for classroom discussions. The premise — a mysterious neighbor everyone fears but no one actually knows — opens up such rich conversations about assumptions, rumors, and courage. My Grade 2 students were on the edge of their seats, and the reveal at the end sparked a spontaneous discussion about kindness that lasted the rest of the afternoon. I've already ordered copies for our class library."
Ms. Patricia Osei, Grade 2 Teacher, Toronto
— Elementary School Teacher | Sir Westieti & The Good Witch"I read this aloud to my grandchildren during a sleepover and it was the highlight of the evening. The pacing is just right — suspenseful enough to keep them glued, but never too frightening. And Westieti! What a personality. He's brave, lovable, and just a little bit mischievous. The whole family fell in love with him. We're already tracking down the other books in the series."
Dorothy R., grandmother of four, Nova Scotia
— Grandparent | Sir Westieti & The Good Witch"I wasn't expecting to tear up during a children's book, but here we are. The moment the whale and her baby appear to rescue Westieti was so beautifully written that I had to compose myself before finishing the page. My son kept saying 'he's going to be okay, right, Mommy?' — and that emotional investment is a sign of truly great storytelling. We talk about the whale rescue at dinner to this day."
Jennifer L., mother of three, Halifax
— Parent | Westieti & The Whale"Westieti saved the whole boat! And then the whale saved HIM! I liked the baby whale the most. Westieti is my favorite dog ever and he's not even real."
Sophie A., age 6, New Brunswick
— Child, Age 6 | Westieti & The Whale"We featured Westieti & The Whale during our summer ocean literacy program and it was an instant hit. The story does something rare — it weaves a genuine environmental appreciation for marine life into a pulse-pounding adventure without ever feeling preachy. Children leave the story with a sense of wonder about the ocean and a clear message that bravery and kindness go hand in hand. Highly recommended for ages 4 through 8."
Karen Abioye, Children's Librarian, Moncton Public Library
— Public Librarian | Westieti & The Whale"What I love most about this book is that Westieti isn't a superhero — he's a small dog on a big adventure who gets scared and gets knocked down, 2 literally. But he keeps going. That's the message I want my kids to absorb: not that heroes are fearless, but that they act anyway. My daughter now calls herself 'brave like Westieti' whenever she's nervous about something new. That's worth everything."
David C., father of two, Prince Edward Island
— Parent | Westieti & The Whale"The combination of a real, iconic landmark — Buckingham Palace — with a heartwarming fictional adventure is inspired. My kids already knew what the Palace was, so when Westieti showed up at the gates, they were practically vibrating with excitement. And the idea that the Queen herself goes searching for Westieti and Suzie? They absolutely loved that. It made the world feel big and full of possibility."
Amanda K., mother of two, Calgary
— Parent | Westieti's Visit to The Queen"Westieti was on the FRONT PAGE of the newspaper! The Queen wanted to have breakfast with him! I told my teacher and she didn't believe me so I brought the book to school to show her."
Noah B., age 7, Alberta
— Child, Age 7 | Westieti's Visit to The Queen"This is one of those rare children's books that sparks genuine geographic and cultural curiosity. After reading it, my students wanted to know where Canada was in relation to England, what Buckingham Palace looked like inside, and whether the Queen really did have breakfast with guests. It opened a whole world of research and questions. The best books do exactly that — they make children hungry to learn more."
Margaret Faulkner, School Librarian, Ottawa
— Elementary School Librarian | Westieti's Visit to The Queen"We discovered this series when my son was going through a rough patch about starting at a new school — nervous, convinced everyone was scary and unfamiliar. We read all three books together over two weekends. By the end, he was quoting Westieti at breakfast. 'Small heroes make big differences, Mom.' I didn't even have to say a word. This series has a kind soul, and children feel it on every page. Thank you for creating Westieti."
